Give thanks!

The psalmist says, "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High" (Psalm 92:1 NASB). These are just some of the things for which we thank the Lord:

Mitch

• I am thankful for family and that Nicole's surgery went well.
• I am thankful for the close of a semester and my academic career.
• I am thankful for the possibility of a church.
• I am grateful for the opportunities God has given me of officiating my first wedding and for my formal ordination.
  

Jane

• I am thankful that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me.
• I am thankful for my family.
• I am thankful for my job.
• I am thankful that Mitch is nearing the end of seminary and the beginning of vocational ministry.
• Where do I stop?

Nicole

• I am thankful for parents.
• I am thankful for God.
• I am thankful for a place to live.
• I am thankful for friends.
• I am thankful for animals.

Preaching opportunities

Many of you know and were praying about a preaching opportunity Mitch had the morning of Nov. 4 at a small church about an hour and 15 minutes from us. Thanks for your prayers! It went well. The church is pastorless and Mitch was one of a handful of men who have preached or will preach at the church as they seek a pastor.

Today Mitch received a call from a deacon to ask that he come back on Dec. 9 to preach for the morning and evening services. We are very encouraged about these new preaching opportunities! Keep praying for us and for this body of believers as we seek the Lord's will in this matter.

Time's Flying By

This is our baby girl's second grade picture. It seemed like only yesterday that she was just a toddler. In one of these tomorrows she will be all grown up! We thank the Lord for the gift He has given us in her.
